I am very honored to be the recipient of the Best In Show - Artist's Choice Award and an Honorable Mention at the inaugural Nomadas Del Arte Show, held this past March in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The show featured work from 200 plein-air artists from around the country. The painting "Solstice" received the Honorable Mention, while "Afternoon Delight" garnered the Artists' Choice Award. Thanks to the judges and my fellow plein-air painters for these honors!

Ch-Ch-Changes

Regular visitors will have immediately noticed the new look and layout of the site. What can I say...I'm a tinkerer. In my defense, let me just say that this site has always been a "work in progress" - a sort of digital sketchbook, if you will. The changes it has undergone over the years have reflected my expanding understanding of HTML and web design as well as an ongoing process of design refinement and experimentation aimed at keeping the site distinctive and interesting. I hope you enjoy the new features! -SCD
